• One Air, Launch Customer in Spain for the New Tecnam P2008JC NG

Excellence in aviation training requires constant investment in technology. That is why we are proud to announce that today, from Capua (Italy), the manufacturer Tecnam has officially confirmed One Air as the Launch Customer in Spain for the new P2008JC NG (Next Generation).

This strategic agreement includes the acquisition of the first 4 aircraft worldwide, with delivery scheduled to commence in the second quarter of 2026.

This significant expansion of our current Tecnam fleet, which already features eight P2008JC MkII Premium and one P2006T MkII Premium twin-engine aircraft, consolidates a total fleet of over 30 state-of-the-art aircraft from manufacturers Diamond, Cirrus, and Tecnam.

You can read all the details in the official press release published by Tecnam.

P2008JC NG: Redefining the Training Standard

The selection of the new Tecnam P2008JC NG aligns perfectly with our philosophy of operating the most modern equipment available on the market.

But what advancements does the Next Generation model introduce compared to the previous P2008JC? Undoubtedly, essential improvements for ab-initio pilot training:

  • New, more efficient engine: It features Rotax 912 iSc fuel-injection technology, offering superior efficiency and reduced emissions, key to our commitment to environmental sustainability.
  • Advanced Avionics: Like the previous model, it features the state-of-the-art Garmin G3X Touch flight deck, preparing the student with the technology they will encounter in their professional future.
  • Hybrid Fuselage: These improvements meet strict CS-23 certification standards, combining a carbon-fiber fuselage for greater comfort and aerodynamics with the durability of metal wings.

From Simulator to Aircraft: A Synergy Unique in the World

With our Tecnam P2008JC MkII replica simulator, unique in the world and manufactured exclusively for One Air, we maintain a unique position in the global training market.

The arrival of the new P2008JC NG aircraft will further enhance the synergy between ground and flight training, ensuring a seamless transition for our future pilots from the simulator to the real cockpit.

A Shared Commitment to Excellence

That One Air is Tecnam’s Launch Customer in Spain is no coincidence; it is the result of a shared vision for the future of flight instruction.

Our CEO and Head of Training, Agustín Cabanillas, explains that this acquisition goes far beyond buying planes; it is part of a comprehensive quality plan: “We are thrilled to offer our students a fleet expansion […] The addition of these new aircraft will be accompanied by significant improvements and the expansion of our maintenance center. This ensures the highest standards of safety and quality while increasing maintenance capacity, enabling continuous flight operations, more flight hours, and further fleet growth”.

For his part, Walter Da Costa, Tecnam Chief Sales Officer, highlighted our commitment to training quality: “One Air Aviation has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence, evidenced by their impressive fleet and three ‘Excellence in Training’ awards. We are honored to have them as the Launch Customer… their choice confirms that this aircraft is the ideal solution for modern flight schools seeking to combine the latest avionics and engine technology with the reliability that Tecnam is known for”.
