  • Equality in life and in sport:

    A commitment shared by Xerez DFC and One Air.

We have recently had the visit of three of the main teams of Xerez Deportivo Fútbol Club: Senior, Féminas and Genuine, of which One Air Flight Training is the main sponsor.

Thus, members of all teams, along with coaches and management, were able to enjoy an aeronautical experience in our facilities in Malaga city, putting themselves at the controls of an aircraft for the first time in several simulators, such as the Airbus 320 or the Boeing 737.

An afternoon full of surprises, in which together we shared, above all, laughter and excitement.

From grass to clouds, an unexpected change of scenery

The Xerez DFC players, used to the pressure of the pitch, swapped the grass for the clouds for a day, experiencing the adrenaline and responsibility that comes with flying a plane.

At the controls of the simulators, they were able to feel the thrill of take-off, the serenity of cruising and the precision of landing.

An unforgettable experience for everyone, in which we have strengthened our common bonds and enjoyed the camaraderie that characterises the Jerez club.

Equality and inclusion, two pillars on which to build a better future

This day, which went far beyond a simple visit, is part of our commitment to society and to the values represented by sport, which we are passionate about in all its branches. At One Air, we are convinced that the training of future pilots goes beyond technical instruction.

We firmly believe in the importance of instilling values such as equality, inclusion, companionship, resilience and courage, values that are essential in aviation as well as in sport and, of course, in life.

Our sponsorship of Xerez DFC, and in particular its Senior, Féminas and Genuine teams, reflects our commitment to these principles. We are extremely proud to support a club that is committed to equal opportunities, giving women and men the chance to compete at the highest level.

The Féminas’s team is a clear example of how talent and dedication can break down barriers and achieve goals that seemed unattainable. Their example is an inspiration for all young girls who dream of dedicating themselves to professional sport, demonstrating that with effort and perseverance, anything is possible.

In turn, Xerez DFC Genuine teaches us that limitations are in the mind, not in the abilities. Their passion for football, their team spirit and their tireless fight for improvement are values to which we should all aspire.

Aviation and sport, united by common values

This visit was a unique opportunity to experience first-hand the values we share:

The discipline required to fly a plane, the precision in every manoeuvre, the responsibility of having lives on board, are aspects that translate perfectly to the field of play. Effective communication, confidence in the team and the ability to make decisions under pressure are skills that are as much at home in the cockpit of an aircraft as they are in a football match.

At One Air, we see resilience as a fundamental quality, both for our students and the athletes we support. The ability to overcome adversity, to learn from mistakes and to move forward with more strength is key to success, whether it’s getting a flying licence or winning a championship.

The courage to face new challenges, to step out of your comfort zone and to pursue your dreams with determination is another value we share with Xerez DFC.
